SPLIT SEALS:
DLOK makes D2337-SPLT seal is fully split seals that come in two separate pieces. These pieces can be installed or removed from around the shaft without disassembling the equipment like Bearings, Motor Coupling, and Motor. Disassembling all this equipment causes increased labor hours and increased downtime which in turn means increased cost. A split mechanical seal can thus, greatly decrease these deficits.
