Seal Supporting Systems

DLOK SEALS have developed a wide range of Seal supporting systems. Seal supporting systems are essential components & are integral to the proper functioning and longevity of mechanical seals in industrial applications. They ensure that seals are supplied with the necessary fluids, maintain the right operating conditions, and enable efficient monitoring and maintenance to prevent leaks and downtime.

Thermosyphon System:

A Thermosyphon system is used to keep the Mechanical Seal faces cool by providing the required lubricant to the Double back-to-back or tandem seals.

The use of a thermosyphon system in mechanical seals helps to maintain a stable and controlled temperature at the sealing interface. This is essential to prevent overheating, which can lead to seal failure, and to ensure the longevity and reliability of the seal in various industrial applications. By relying on natural convection rather than mechanical pumps, thermosyphon systems can offer a simple and effective means of temperature control for mechanical seals.
To maintain the cooling effect, fix the tank within 1 meter radius from the seal and within 2 meter height above the seal.

Forced Lubrication Systems:

Forced Lubrication Systems is a method of providing a controlled and continuous supply of lubricating fluid to the seal faces to reduce friction & wear. This System is mainly used in high pressure & high temperature applications. A forced lubrication System enhances the reliability and lifespan of mechanical seals, especially in demanding applications where there’s a need for effective sealing and reduced wear.
